Forcoda helped a cash-strapped startup, QI Folio, find a dedicated developer who matched their skill and budget criteria. Despite an initial setback with the first developer, Forcoda quickly found a replacement who successfully delivered quality code and helped QI Folio complete their project within the timeline and budget expectations.
QI Folio is a Buffalo-based startup. They are building the web application that’s aimed at non-profits to optimize their project management process and make it more transparent for project stakeholders with a unique set of reporting features that they invented.
The client came to us looking for development help. As their budget is cash-strapped startup, we suggested them to engage with us through agency-team augmentation model where we help them find developers. Throughout our network of partners, Forcoda has access to 600 developers that we can bring on projects within a one or two-weeks timeline. So this is a model that we proposed to engage on QI Folio — to find a dedicated developer for their team that satisfies their skill and budget criteria.
Once the client provided us with access to their website, codebase, documentation – and the client was very thorough with providing an overview of the website and explaining how it functions, – we have started looking for the developers that meet the criteria. And within a couple of weeks, we were able to find a developer who was matching their skill set.
After two weeks on the project, we discovered that project requirements were out of the comfort zone of the selected developer. There was a personal matter that the developer was dealing with, and he was unable to continue working on the project. Forcoda engaged the network of partners for the second time to find the replacement, which we were able to accomplish within a week and provide the client with even a better match than the original developer.
Since the original developer wasn’t able to deliver results during the first two weeks of his work time due to the personal circumstances, Forcoda didn’t bill the Client for that time as there was no actual work provided.
